Compounded background

 

 

Needed:         PSP

                        Tubes, download mine HERE.

                        Tubes Yellow Rose – tubes Hydrangea

                        Patience and perhaps something to drink and snack.

 

  1. Open a new image 2400 x2400 pixels.
  2. Fill with a light base colour, I used  #fdf6d9
  3. New layer
  4. Select selection tool – feather at 20 and draw a rectangle or square.
  5. Now fill with a slightly darker colour, I used #e9d3a4.
  6. Undo selection and move the layer into a corner.
  7. New layer, make another selection and fill with another colour ( #c1ceaa )
  8. Now select the airbrushwith the following settings:

 

 

 

 

9.  Colour  setting a bit lighter than base colour ( #e8d08a ) and airbrush a little colour

      here and there on the sides. You can do this by clicking your mouse button, or by

      holding the mouse button down and spraying the colour on the paper like that.

 

     

 

 

 

Repeat steps 3 -9 with different colours until the sheet is fully covered. Arrange layers,

also try to play with the opacity of the layers.

 

 

10. Merge visible layers

 

  1. Adjust – add Noise set to 20.
  2. New layer.
  3. Open your tubes now, pick one and paste it here and there as a new selection. Try rotating some tubes.
  4. Set layer to soft light and opacity to approximately 60.
  5. Copy a different tube and repeat steps 15-16.
  6. Also add the next tube to the background, make sure to set the opacity to approximately 85.
  7. Now merge all layers and add some texture if you want to.
  8. Save as .jpg file.
