Blending your photos

You’ve got several photos that you would like to blend smoothly, so that you can use it as a background. It’s fairly easy to do this.

Needs:

  1. Open your photos.
  2. Choose your main photo, the one that you would like to display the largest; enlarge it by 140 percent.  Image – adjust – 140 %.
  3. Go to layers – load/save masks – load mask from disk – find your Kris mask #70 or #71. Click ok.
  4. Layers – merge group – merge visible layers.
  5. Do this with all the photos you want to use, Enlarging them won’t be necessary.
  6. Open a transparent image and fill it with a nice matching colour.
  7. Copy the feathered photos and paste them as new layers to the background image.
  8. Arrange them until you’re happy with your result.
  9. Lock the background layer, then layers – merge visible layers.
  10. It is possible that you can still see sharp edges. If you do, select the lasso tool – freehand – feather set to 30 and select the sharp edges, click delete.
  11. When satisfied, save as .jpg file or give it some texture first.

Used a mask, added an edge with blinds texture.
