       Supplies : PSP, materials,  MontiChristmaskit

1.     Open a 600 x 600 pixel image.

2.     Select – all.

3.     Open your background papers, copy one and paste into selection.

4.     New layer, fill with matching colour.

5.     Open your mask.

6.     Go to layers – new mask layer – from image. Find your mask.

7.     Layers – merge group.

8.     Add drop shadow to your own liking.

9.     Repeat steps 4-8 only now use a patterned paper.

10. Contract this layer by 85 %.

11. Open a new 350 x 400 pixel image.

12. Fill with colour and add optional texture.

13. Selections – modify – contract by 10.

14. Fill with pattern. Add optional texture.

15. Selections – modify – contract by 10.

16. Fill with colour and add optional drop shadow.

17. Selections – modify – contract by 10.

18. Click Delete.

19. Contract image by 9 %.

20. Add drop shadow to the whole.

21. Copy and past to your layout, you may save or close the frame now. 

22.  Move the layers until your happy with their position.

23. New layer.

24. Select the pen tool.

25.  Now draw a line from the top right to the bottom left.  Click on ‘apply’ on the right.

26. Effects – filter eyecandy – jiggle set to:

27. Filter eye candy – fur set to:

28.  Lower the line until it’s positioned to your liking.

29. Select selection tool freehand lasso.

30.  Now draw a somewhat milled edge, don’t forget to select the bottom and left side as well.

31. Fill with pattern of your choice, add a drop shadow to the whole and keep the selection.

32. New layer.

33. Selections, contract by 3. Fill selection with colour and add drop shadow and texture.

34. Adjust and move these layers until the patterned edge is only visible on the milled edge.

35. Add corners to the frame, you can make them yourself, the lesson you’ll need in order to do so is located here.

36.  Now the layout is about ready. The only thing left to do, is to embellish it.

37. Open the glass tube.

38. Select the selection tool circle and draw a circle the size of the christmas ornament.

39. New layer, fill with your patterned paper.

40. Deselect and move the layer below the ornament layer.

41. If necessary, contract or enlarge it a little by using the selection tool until it’s become a nice whole.

42. Repeat this with several different colours or patterns.

43. Now paste as new layer on your layout. Position them in a way that it seems like they’re attached to the fiber. This’ll take some patience, you’ll need to erase a part.

44.  Open the snowflakes and paste them as new layer, repeat but now contract them by 85 %. Duplicate this layer and contract by 85% again. Reposition these layers until your happy with your result.
