Glass Bookplates

 

 

Needs:

  • PSP
  • Eyecandy: impact

 

  1. Open a transparent 1000 x 500 pixel image.
  2. Selection tool rounded rectangle. Draw an oblong rectangle.

  1. Fill with colour.
  2. Selections – modify – contract by approximately 20 (the larger the rectangle, the more you’ll have to contract).
  3. Cllik delete.
  4. Deselect.
  5. New layer.
  6. Select selection tool circle and draw a small rounding, fill with colour.
  7. Selections – modify – contract by 20.
  8. Deselect.
  9. Duplicate layer and mirror it. Move the circle onto the edge of the rectangle. You’ll now have this: 
  10. Move the rectangle up, this becomes the top layer now. Merge layers.
  11. Select all using your magic wand.
  12. Plug-in filters – eyecandy 5.impact – chrome and find a nice preset.

       

  1. It can look like this:

  1. Click your magic wand inside the rectangle, modify selection – expand by 2.
  2. New layer, fill with pattern of colour of your choice.
  3. Plug-in filters – eyecandy 5 impact – glass: settings – clear no drop shadow, bevel profile – button, settings see screenshot below:

  1. Deselect and move this layer down in the layer palette.
  2.  Now you can add some text.
  3. Save as .png file.
