Grunge background

Needs:

know how this is done, look

) The mask can either be opened in PSP or put in the masks folder.

First, we’ll make
the mask.
-
Open a 500 x 500
pixel image.
-
Fill with white.
- Select
your brush and set fore- and background colour to different
shades of grey.

Select a brush to
your liking. I chose simplybrush-mascara_05 size 350.

Click a couple of
times in several spots on the paper, colour black.

Select your brush:
simplybrush-mascara_03 and click here and there on the image.
Colour #808080.

Select brush:
simplybrush-rawpetals_01 and click several times on your image
using colour #c0c0c0.

Plug-in filters: fm
tile tools – blend emboss – standard setting.
- Minimize
your image.
- Now open a
new 2400 x2400 pixel image, fill with colour of your choice.

New layer, fill
with colour of your choice.

Go to layers – new
mask layer – from image ( find the brush image you’ve just made
) and click OK.
- Layers –
merge Group. Then merge visible layers.

New layer, fill
with colour you like.

Load mask from disk
and click ok. Now see what you prefer, an entire grunge
background or just a grunge edge. If you prefer the edge, go to
layers – invert mask.

Merge Group, merge
visible layers and save as .jpg file.
