    Supplies PSP and tube

 

  1. Open a 500 x 600 pixel image and make sure that ‘rulers’is  checked/tagged. (view – rulers )
  2. Fill with white.
  3. New layer.
  4. Select pen tool with the following setting:

  1. Set foreground color to  #f76164.
  2. Now draw a vertical line starting from 50 at the top and end all the way down at the bottom of your screen.

It’s easy to see if your line remains straight. Click Apply.

  1. New layer.
  2. Pen tool, same setting, foreground colour #808080.
  3. Start with the third (ruler-)mark from above and draw a horizontal line from left to right.
  4. Repeat this at the 6th mark, don’t forget to click apply.
  5. You can either repeat yourself until you reach the end of your page, or you can duplicate the layer and paste it as a new layer in order to get nice equal lines.
  6. You’re paper is ready now.
  7. Merge visible layers.
  8. Let’s make the perforations. Open the ‘klapper’ tube and export it as a picture tube.
  9. New layer.
  10. Locate the ‘klapper’ tube. Adjust settings to:

  1. Now a steady hand is needed, press and hold your left mousebutton while dragging the Mouse from top to bottom on the left side of the paper. It’ll look like this:

  1. Now make several double holes by clicking right above or below a previously ‘punched’ hole with the picture tube.
  2. Select all grey circles with the magic wand.
  3. You can now remove the layer with the grey circles, leave the selection though !
  4. Click delete.
  5. Effects – 3d effects – cut out set to:

  1. Deselect.
  2. Contract by 95 %
  3. Your paper is crispy clean now, don’t you think so ? Let’s give it some structure. Effects – Texture effects – fine paper. If you feel that the whole still is too ‘crispy clean’, add some crinckled paper texture to it.  
  4. Want to give it a ‘torn-from-binder’ look ? Get your lasso tool – free hand and draw some crinkled selections around the paper perforations.

 

  1. Click Delete.
  2. Optionally add a drop shadow.
  3. Save as .png or .psp file.
