Needs: PSP, background, Filter Eye Candy 5 Impact, supplies

 

  1. Open the background image, minimize.
  2. Open a 2400 x 2400 pixel image ( people using  600 x 600 pixel images need to divide all following measurements by 4).
  3. Locate the background image , size 100 use it to fill your layer with.
  4. New layer.
  5. Select selection tool circle and draw a large circle.
  6. Fill it with a nice color from your background.
  7. Texture effects – find a texture to your liking, I picked delicate canvas.
  8. Move this layer over at least half of your background layer ( see example ).
  9. Get your eraser and erase the circle’s edge very gently; this’ll give you a frayed effect.

Don’t forget to also adjust this setting to about 5 when you’re using a 600 x 600 pixel image.

  1.  Add a drop shadow to your creation.

  1. New layer.
  2. Select selection tool rectangle and draw a rectangle from the left to the utmost right, approximately 350 pixels high.
  3. Fill the selection with a nice matching color.
  4. Filter Eye Candy 4000 or Eyecandy 3 weave, with the following setting:  

 ( Divide 600 x 600 by 4 e.g. 4.10 and 1.14, the rest will be the same ).

  1. New layer.
  2. Add Tube ‘stiksel’ (stitches) to the picture tube folder, locate it and draw stitches from left to right horizontally.

(600 x 600 users are lucky this time around, for all they’ll have to do is copy and paste the stitches tube as a new layer.

  1. Move the stitches to a nice spot on your layout, duplicate this layer and paste it onto the border once more. Lock both background layer and circle layer for the next step.
  2. Visibly merge the ‘border layer’ and ‘stitches layer’ and duplicate it afterwards. Move one border at the bottom and the other one at the top of your layout.
  3. Unlock all layers.
  4. Open a new 100 x 100 pixel image.
  5. Select the selection tool circle and draw a nice circle.
  6. Fill with a plain color.
  7. Selections – modify – contract by 10.
  8. Now fill with your background pattern size 2. Leave the selection.
  9. Eyecandy impact – glass bevel button.

 

  1. Deselect and add the glass effect once more.
  2. Copy and paste the button onto the circles’ edge. Paste it as a new selection each time until the edge of the circle is filled to your liking.
  3. Now the button can be saved and/or closed.
  4. New image 840 x 360.
  5. Select rounded rectangle and draw a rectangle as large as possible.
  6. Fill with white.
  7. Select the area with your magic wand and modify – contract by 24.
  8. Fill this part with a matching color.
  9. Effect eyecandy5.impact – glass; same setting as in step 27.
  10. Select the white border – fill with background paper and add glass effect.
  11. Deselect.
  12. Copy and paste as new layer. Either close or save your tag.
  13. New layer.
  14. Select basic tool rectangle, draw a rectangle ( this’ll frame your photo ) fill with color.
  15. Leave the selection, modify selection – contract by 24; fill with matching color.
  16. Leave the selection, modify selection – contract by 24; fill with first color.
  17. Leave the selection, modify selection – contract by 24 and press delete.
  18. Deselect.
  19. Select both inner and outer edge with the magic wand, add a texture to it and an inner bevel of your choice.
  20. Select the frames’ centre border, add texture to it as well.
  21. Add a drop shadow to the whole.
  22. Select basic tool flower 1 or 2. Make sure that both ‘vector’ and ‘keep style’ are untagged.
  23. Set fore- and background color to a colour of your choice or a pattern and draw a flower.
  24. Add glass effect to the flower.
  25. Repeat steps 47 – 49 several times in several colors.
  26. Arrange the flowers until you’re happy with your result.
  27. You can now save the entire layout as a .png-, .psp-, or .jpg-file.
