Hinge 2

 

         

 

Needs:

·        PSP

·        selections

·        optional: filter Blade pro.

 

  1. Open a 275 x 175 pixel image.
  2. Selections – Load/save selections – load selection from disk, find hinge.1 (scharnier.1) and click load.
  3. Fill with gradient steel.
  4. Duplicate layer.
  5. Mirror image. Now you’ll have this:

 

6.  Merge visible layers.

7.  Magic wand, click outside the hinge. Press SHIFT key and select the circles as well.

8.  Selection – invert.

9.  3D-effects – inner bevel set to:

10.  Deselect.

11.  New layer – selections – load selection from disk, locate Hinge.2 (scharnier.2).

12.  Fill with gradient.

13.  3D-effects – inner bevel:

 

 

14.  Adjust – Brightness and contrast.

 

15.  Select pen tool.

Set colour to grey and draw two lines, see example.

 

Keep in mind to right-click and apply after drawing a line.

16.  Select the lines with your magic wand.

17.  Selections – float.

18.  3d- effects – Cutout set to:

 

 19. Deselect.

20.  Merge visible layers and add an optional drop shadow.

21.  Save as .png file.

 

Feel free to use a Blade Pro preset. If you do, fill the selections with white before using the Blade Pro preset. Inner bevel won’t be needed anymore.
