Special moments

 

 

Needs: PSP, fonts, dingbats, photos (or just use mine).

 

  1. Open an image 2400 x 2400 fill with white.
  2. Open your photo as well and pick a matching colour that you like.
  3. Effects – blinds – horizontal untagged – width 50 – opacity 70, colour in with the colour you picked.
  4. Select all, new layer.
  5. Open the picture you want to use for a background, copy and paste into selection.
  6. Deselect and decrease layer opacity to approximately 40.
  7. The background is finished now, either minimize or save as .jpg file.

 

  1. The Lace border, open the dingbat font and minimize it.
  2. Open a new image 300 x 300
  3. Set fore- and background colour to the colour you’ve picked.
  4. Select text tool, find dingbat ‘printers ornament’ size 300 and enter the character ‘g’.
  5. Deselect.
  6. Effect – eye candy – weave with the following settings:

 

  1. Cut and paste as new image, close the original image.
  2. Now save this tube as a Picture Tube: File – export – Picture Tube -  Name this tube and click OK.
  3. Close this image and re-open your background.
  4. Open your background.
  5. New layer.
  6. Find your picture tube and set to:

        

  1. If you feel it’s too big, lower the scale. Now draw lines, either straight or curved ones, just the way you prefer.
  2. Effects – 3d effects – inner bevel set to:

 

  1. Effects – 3d effects – drop shadow of your own choice.
  2. Merge layers.
  3. Now, if you want to, place a tube at both ends of the lace border.
  4. Merge layers.

 

 

  1. Frame : New layer.
  2. Draw a rectangle ( feather set to 10 ) in the background layer and make it the size you want to.
  3. Fill with a dark tone.
  4. Select – contract to 40.
  5. Fill with white.
  6. Contract 20 and fill with darker tone.
  7. Contract 20 and press Delete.
  8. Duplicate this layer and contract to approximately 80%.
  9. Click on the original frame and go to image – free rotation set to 25% right.
  10. Arrange the frame layers.
  11. Click inside the frame and select the bottom layer, press delete. Do the same with the second contracted frame but don’t just press delete on the bottom layer, but press delete on the other frame layer as well. Press delete again. Now you can already save the whole as .png file. Minimize this image.

 

  1. Tag: new image 1000 x 350
  2. Fill with a matching colour.
  3. Select lasso and draw a twisted line around the rectangle.
  4. Invert selection and press delete.
  5. Copy layer.
  6. Add texture of choice, I chose crumpled paper.
  7. Drop shadow of choice.
  8. Now paste as new layer and contract this layer with about 80%.
  9. Give it some texture (blinds, see step 3, only now with size set to 25 ).
  10. Add a drop shadow to the entire tag.
  11. Merge visible layers – copy and paste to background paper.

 

  1. Eyelets: Open an image 250 x250
  2. Select circle tool and draw a circle – fill with white.
  3. Contract with 15 – New layer, fill with white and paste tube into selection.
  4. Effects – eye candy – glass with the following settings:                                                    
  5. Keep your selection, select bottom layer and press delete.
  6. Select magic wand click inside the white edge and go to effects – Blade Pro and pick a nice preset. Or, fill the edge with a dark, matching colour and give it the glass effect again.
  7. Now the eyelet is finished, add them to two corners of your frames.
  8. Merge visible layers and save as .png file.
