Filter texturizer
Dingbat fonts (You can
find some pretty onese here
http://www.houseoflime.com/)

Open a new 300 x 300 pixel image.

Open the chosen dingbat font and
minimize it, now your font can be used in PSP.

Set fore- and background colour
to the same colour of your choice. Make sure that ‘
floating’ is selected. Find your font.

Typ the character, it’ll be in
your image with ‘marching ants’ around it.

Effects – Plug-in filters –
texturizer – canvas. Or use a texture you prefer. A metal
effect, for instance Blade Pro can be great too.

Deselect.
- Drop shadow:

Repeat the drop shadow but adjust
vertical and horizontal to -1.

Save as .png file.
Variation.

Fill your image with a colour you
like.

Give it a texture.
-
Enter a character, make sure that
‘floating’ is selected.

Click in the layer palette and
remove the floating layer by clicking on remove/delete and OK.

Now only one layer with the font
selected remains, press or click Delete.
-
Add a drop shadow.
-
Save as .png file.
