String caps

1. Open a transparent 250 x 250 pixel image.
2. Select selection tool – rounded square and draw a selection, so that you’ll have about two unused squares on each side.
3. Fill with colour of your choice.
4. Adjust – add 10% noise.
5. Now click inside your colour palette. – click on ‘other’ and a colour palette will open. Now you can pick a matching fore- and background colour ( light and darker tone. ).
6. Brush/Airbrush – find a brush you like and click inside the square several times.
7. Repeat this step with a different brush.
8. 3D-efects– inner bevel with the following settings:

9. Drop shadow set to:

10. New layer.
11. Select selection tool circle and draw a small circle. Fill with white.
12. Selections – modify – contract by 10, click ok and then delete.
13. Select the ring with your magic wand and give it a metallic look by adding a gradient or Blade Pro effect.
14. Drop shadow like in step 9. Deselect.
15. Cut and paste as a new layer, now the eyelet will be automatically centred.
16. Click with the magic wand in the centre of the circle and click or press Delete, select the bottom layer and press delete again.
17. Optional is to add a structure of your choice to the bottom layer.
18. Save as .png file.
